NORTH Wiltshire-based condiments specialists Tracklements struck gold five times over in the “Oscars of the Food World.”

The family-run firm of Easton Grey near Malmesbury, secured a handful of prestigious gongs at the 2015 Great Taste Awards.

One of the gold awards, for Tracklements Fig Relish achieved the highest possible rating of three Gold Stars.

The awards were judged by an expert panel including retailers, chefs, restaurant critics, food writers and industry experts.

Tracklements has now racked-up a total 95 gold gongs at food awards over the last four years.

The company prides itself on creating handmade condiments, with ingredients sourced from British farmers and the finest spice growers.

Its ethos is that each product should have the “amazing ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary and bring food to life.”

In its latest success, the brand achieved four 1 gold star wins for its Apple & Cider Brandy Chutney, Onion Marmalade, Classic Deli Mustard and Strong Horseradish & Cream.

Its Fig Relish was described by judges as “a really eye opening relish – gorgeous dark toffee colour, lovely aroma, good texture with big chunks of fruit with a deep almost caramelised and fruity flavour; extremely well balanced, not too sweet, and full of the flavour of figs.”

Tracklements managing director Guy Tullberg, said “The Great Taste Awards are a fantastic opportunity for British producers to show off their talent.

“As a British food producer we are thrilled to have won so many awards and be recognised for producing truly delicious condiments.

“We are quietly obsessive about making the very best products and feel these wins reflect the hard work and effort put into every recipe.”

This year, 10,000 products were entered into the awards and only 130 foods achieved the highest and most coveted rating, three stars.
