A stunning election result in Wootton Bassett has seen the Conservatives take all 16 seats on the town council.
The Tories swept the board in both the south and north wards, each of which had eight seats available.
Liberal Democrats Keith Dixon, Eve Silvester, Marion Sweet, Olivia Thomas and Steve Walls all lost their seats at Friday's election.
The result was a double blow for Mr Walls and Mrs Thomas, who also lost their seats as North Wiltshire District councillors.
Conservative councillor Chris Wannell, who was also re-elected to the district council, said it was an incredible achievement.
He said he was astonished the party won every available seat, an achievement they matched at district level in the town.
Mr Walls, who had served on the council for 16 years, said it had been a very disappointing result for the Lib Dems.
"To me, it related to the national situation, where the Conservatives are buoyant, and the local situation where there has been controversy over the leisure centres and car parking charges," he said.
