CHIPPENHAM’S annual town meeting will be held next week, giving residents the chance to ask questions and raise issues or concerns they may have.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday at Chippenham Town Hall from 6.30pm and will allow residents to hear reports on what has been happening in the town over the past year.

This will include an update from Chippenham Mayor David Powell on work done by the town council, representatives from radio station Chippenham FM and presentations from the Rise Trust and Girl Guides.

Chief executive Sue Wilthew said: “This is your town so please do come along to the meeting to have your say. Your views matter.

“There is the opportunity to ask questions during the electors’ question time session.

“We will do our best to answer those questions at the meeting.”

Although not a town council meeting, each parish is required by law to hold an annual town meeting for electors to give them the opportunity to have their say.

Questions can also be submitted during the electors’ question time session during the meeting.
