CHIPPENHAM is currently experiencing a wealth of business as local and national retailers are setting up shop in the centre of the town in New Road.
Located between The Bridge and Railway Arches, retailers are making the most of the central location which experiences high levels of footfall.
A Greek restaurant and Meze bar called Athena has taken over Revolutions restaurant and national restaurant chain Prezzo has submitted an application to use the former Shamrock Linen shop.
Elsewhere, the former Bed Centre shop has almost been fitted out by Atlas Gyms, a state-of-the-art gym, which will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
On the same stretch of road, Chippenham MP Michelle Donelan has set up her constituency office in the former Swinton Insurance shop and on the same side of the road, the former Wobble Away shop has been acquired by Digiprint.
The company’s former unit has been taken by Bewley & Merrett undertakers, who attracted a good level of attention at their recent opening when they had a motorbike hearse parked outside.
