A POPULAR nursery in Chippenham run by a mother and daughter has been given a rebrand after the duo opened a new centre.
The former Busy Bees Nursery, on Lowden Avenue, has been renamed Little Pips Nursery after a new centre was opened in Cheltenham.
“We’ve always been a private nursery but we got associated with the chain of Busy Bees nurseries”, said Claire Burgess, who runs Little Pips with her mum, Linda Norman.
“We’ve just opened another in Cheltenham and thought why not rebrand.
“I would say we had about 100 people come to the relaunch and we had some cakes and nibbles and lots of activities for the children to do.
“There was also a sand pit and new born chicks for them to hold.”
More than a 100 children attend the two nurseries, with the Chippenham-based Little Pips originally opened in 2006.
But despite opening a new centre in Cheltenham, there are no further plans to expand.
“To us the nurseries are very personal and we want to keep the personal family feel,” added Mrs Burgess.
“We might look to expand in the future but the quality that we offer is more important than anything else and I think if we got too big we could lose that.”
