Potterne 2nds followed the standards set by their first team in recording their 4th consecutive victory and cementing their place at the top of Division 6, with a comprehensive victory at Collingbourne 2nds.
Collingbourne won the toss and elected to bowl first on a drying wicket, hoping to make the most of favourable conditions.
However a 112 partnership between skipper Steve Fortune (49) and young Neil Clark (76), who recorded his maiden club fifty, saw Potterne off to a flying start before Fortune lost his wicket in the 19th over to the impressive young opening bowler Knight (12-2-49-3).
Ed Fruen (35) and Martin Hulme (34) shared a 75 partnership and the lower order added important runs to steer Potterne to 266 for 9 off their 45 overs.
In reply, Collingbourne struggled to keep up with an ever increasing run rate following the loss of early wickets.
The in-form Tim Nicholls (46) played a patient innings but the Potterne bowlers ensured promising partnerships between Nicholls and Stamp Junior (14) and Stamp Senior (25) didn't develop further.
Collingbourne were dismissed for 136 in the 39th over with the pick of the bowlers being Ben Mason (10.3-4-25-5), who claimed his 14th wicket of the season.
