A sunny afternoon saw the visit of Westbury 3rds to the peace memorial field in North Bradley.

Winning the toss the away side elected to field first, and Bradley quickly went on their way to 65 without the loss of a wicket.

When First Chris fardell fell in the 20s, Oli Howe was dismissed for 39, and Ben Howe without troubling the scorers, Bradley were teetering on 98-3.

It was then that steadily James Taylor and Steve Eades set about adding to the score. James Taylor hit a 50, which included 5 huge sixes, but he fell shortly after reaching his half century.

When Steve Eades sucommed to the Westbury bowling for 31, Bradley were just short of the m200 mark.

Andrew Colebrooke then bludgeoned 3 sixes and Jon Taylor constructed a sensible knock (23*) to give the home side a score of 222-7 off their 45 overs.

In reply the away side got off to a strong start, with the youngster Mills leading the way, when the score reached 60-0 the game looked poised, but a stunning catch off the bowling of Jon Taylor by Oliver Howe, broke the dangerous parnership.

Young Mills carried his bat as others fell around him and finished on 86* along with a fine knock from the young J.Brothers who scored a valiant 138 at the end. But the tight bowling of Sean Brown, 3 for 30 off of his 12 overs and Jon Taylor 3-36 off of his allotment saw the home side home to a win by 50 runs.
