Cooper Avon won the toss and elected to field. The decision looked justified as they took a wicket in the first over.

A partnership of 61 followed between Toze (41) and Richards (22) and helped put the Calne innings back on track.

At 96 for 2, Calne looked well set for a big total, but the loss of 3 quick wickets opened the door for the Cooper Avon bowlers.

Sensible batting from Edwards (30no) and some big hitting from Holcombe, 54 in 40 balls, helped take the Calne innings to a respectable 203 for 7.

The Cooper Avon response never really got going. Losing wickets steadily against an accurate Calne attack they were all out in the 42nd over for 147.

Only Wallington (31) showed any real resistance. All Calne's bowlers were effective, the pick being spinner Andy Windsor who again weighed in with 4 wickets.

Garland also proved effective bowling at the end of the innings, taking 3 for 18 off his 6 overs. A good team effort from the Calne team, with a victory that moves them up to 4th place in the league.
