JULIA’S House volunteers and supporters are gearing up for one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for our 200 Appeal.

The charity’s fundraising team and volunteer friends’ group in Devizes is busy putting the finishing touches to the End of Summer Ball, which will take place at Dauntsey’s School on Saturday evening.

Proceeds from the event, which will be attended by around 270 guests, will go towards our appeal to raise £100,000 during 2016 to pay for Julia’s House carers for life-limited children and their families in Wiltshire.

Ian Wadley, Wiltshire fundraising manager for Julia’s House, said: “We are all very excited about this fantastic event and the prospect of raising a really significant amount towards the 200 Appeal.

“We are hugely grateful to our wonderful volunteers in Devizes who have worked tirelessly to put all the plans together for what promises to be a fun evening.

“A big thanks also to the many supporters who have bought tickets, the local businesses who have sponsored many aspects of the night and to Dauntsey’s School for their help and hospitality.”

The auction will include a great array of prizes such as: A 7-10 day stay in a house in Barbados, a money-can’t-buy tour around the air traffic control centre in Swanwick, a break in a holiday cottage in Cornwall, signed memorabilia from boxing world champion Anthony Joshua and dinner, bed and breakfast in the honeymoon suite at the Peppermill in Devizes.

The event will begin with a Mionetto Prosecco drinks reception sponsored by Copestick Murray, before a three-course dinner, raffle and auction. Live music will be played by Archie Combe and the Will Blake Band.
