Three big-name food outlets are opening in Chippenham after Sainsbury's revealed a revamp of its restaurant.

The supermarket on Bath Road has confirmed the three occupants of its new dining service, named The Restaurant Hub, which is currently being renovated ahead of opening.

A former cafe space will play host to the new facility and is now closed off to the public while it undergoes renovations to transform it into three mini restaurants.

The hub will boast well-known chains Caffe Carluccio’s, Harry Ramsden’s and Ed’s Easy Diner.

Harry Ramsden’s has been serving the nation’s favourite takeaway – fish and chips – since 1928 and will now be bringing their food to Chippenham.

Caffe Carluccio’s, owned by Italian restaurant chain Carluccio’s, aims to provide customers with an authentic Italian coffee house experience.

They will serve a variety of freshly prepared sandwiches, sweet treats and speciality drinks.

Meanwhile Ed’s Easy Diner will give shoppers a taste of America, with its burgers and milkshakes designed to capture “the spirit of the classic roadside diners".

The opening date for The Restaurant Hub is currently unknown.
