Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of affray at a Wiltshire leisure centre.
Police were called to an incident at the Springfield campus in Corsham, on Friday, April 14, which involved two known boys, aged 15 and 16.
The boys fled the scene when a Corsham neighbourhood police team attended alongside a Chippenham response team, leading to a chase on foot.
Officers caught the suspects thanks to assistance from a member of the public after “a lot of hard running”, and both were arrested on suspicion of affray.
They have now been released on bail.
The campus, which is run by Wiltshire Council, has been the site of a spate of attempted robberies by masked teens in recent weeks.
Victims claim to have been approached by young males wearing balaclavas who tried to take their phones by force.
A CCTV van was placed on Valley Road in response but was removed after being vandalised.
PC Neish, of the Corsham team, said: “There have been a lot of issues recently at the Springfield Campus, and we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour.
“Thanks to the hard work of all of the officers in attendance, we have located and arrested the two suspects who were then transported to Swindon custody”.
Police added they have ramped up patrols across the campus.
