A Grade II listed farmhouse has been left in ruins after a blaze which burned through the night.

Dozens of firefighters were mobilised to Idover Demesne Farmhouse, a Grade II listed building in Idover Lane, Dauntsey, on the night of Wednesday, May 31.

Multiple crews arrived at 10.55pm and found the property well alight.

They were joined by water carriers, an aerial ladder platform, and an Incident Command Unit.

Firefighters battled the inferno through the night using main jets, a water tower and a high volume pump.

While the incident has since been scaled back, three crews remained in attendance the following morning.
