A Wiltshire nursery has become the town’s first ‘Outstanding’ nursery in a decade after their latest Ofsted result.

Apple Tree Nursery in Calne scored top marks after their recent inspection in May, and claims is is the first to do so in the area for 10 years.

Education centres are assessed on the quality of education provided, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management during visits from Ofsted.

Apple Tree Nursery was deemed ‘Outstanding’ in all of these areas and improved their overall effectiveness from ‘Good’ at their last inspection.

In the report, it is claimed that staff have made “inspirational changes to benefit all children”, and that the nursery has a “positive community spirit.”

"We are immensely proud of our exceptional staff team whose unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have created a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children," said the nursery’s directors.

"Their hard work and commitment have been instrumental in achieving this outstanding grade. We are truly grateful to our amazing team, without whom we wouldn't have reached this milestone.

“We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the parents who have entrusted their children to us. Your support and trust have been invaluable in our journey towards excellence."
