Costa has issued an update on the future of one of their High Street stores after the building was put on the market.

The coffee chain’s premises on Marlborough High Street was recently listed for sale on the property website Zoopla, throwing the future of the branch into doubt.

But despite the building going up for sale, Costa Coffee insist they have no plans to close their coffeehouse as things stand.

A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that there are currently no plans to close our store on 143 High Street, Marlborough.”

They added that, as far as they are concerned, their lease agreement for the building is set to continue as normal.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

Zoopla confirmed in the listing that the upper floors of the building have been sold off on long leases.

The building, at 143 High Street, is listed for sale at £300,000.

It is described as a three-storey terraced building containing a ground-floor retail unit and basement.

The building also boasts a rear preparation area with an adjoining courtyard and a rear storeroom, as well as a washroom, toilet and kitchen.
