A man in his 60s has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in Calne.
The incident, which took place just before 1.30pm on Saturday, December 2, left a woman in her 30s in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A post on the Calne Police Facebook page on Sunday read: "We responded to reports of domestic (abuse) on Lawrence Drive, Calne, just before 1.30pm yesterday afternoon."
62-year-old Martin Cundliffe, of Lawrence Drive, Calne was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with attempted murder for the broad daylight stabbing.
After appearing before Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday, December 4, he will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Friday, January 5, 2024.
