DEPENDING on results over the next week, the race to become this season’s Shoestrings Chippenham League Premier Division champions may go to the final day of the season.
Defending champions Corsham CC Wildcats are still very much in the mix but they need other results to go their way if they are to have any chance of claiming back-to-back titles.
A 10-0 victory away at nine-man Westbury Rangers has moved them into second place and it gave their goal difference a massive boost.
Dan Sibley, Darrin Moss and Nick Chandler scored two goals each whilst Will Chivers, Chay Forester, Adam Mitchell and Joe King shared the others.
Cons completed their season with a 2-1 win away at bottom-of-the-table Melksham Cosmos, who were 1-0 up at half-time courtesy of a Joe Griffiths goal.
Ben Hibberd headed Cons level and a brilliant volley from Josh Mannings sealed victory for Leighton Joyce’s side.
