MELKSHAM Town made it three wins in a row in all competitions thanks to a 1-0 success at home to Bideford on Saturday.

Following a Southern League Division One South victory over Bashley and a Wiltshire Premier Shield success against Laverstock and Ford, Jay Malshankyj's first-half effort was enough to secure three points once again at the weekend.

Melksham's task was made easier with the dismissal of Bideford captain, Aaron Taylor for a poor tackle on Alex Henshall, but Mark Collier's men were comfortable winners in the end.

The Yellow and Blacks were due to face Slimbridge away on Wednesday night.

Elsewhere, following a Wiltshire Premier Shield success of their own, Westbury United drew 1-1 away at Sholing on Saturday before securing the same result at home to Lymington Town in midweek.

Harvey Flippance claimed both goals - his first coming in fortunate circumstances against Sholing after the White Horse Men went behind, while his second was poked in from close range to put the Wiltshire side a goal up in midweek.

The Wiltshire side looked good for three points on home soil, only for Lymington to equalise 11 minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Corsham Town warmed up for their FA Vase last-16 tie with Brixham by beating Tuffley Rovers 2-0 last Saturday in the Hellenic League Premier Division. Oliver Pitt and Niekell Plummer netted in the second half for Corsham.

Bradford Town fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Lydney Town last weekend, but Royal Wootton Bassett Town secured consecutive wins.

Friday night's derby with Fairford Town was won by a goal from Alfie Presley as Fairford saw Harvey Skurek sent off for two yellow cards.

In midweek, Sam Collier's men edged past Tuffley 2-1 thanks to Matt Jones' strike and a last-minute winner from Louis Spalding.
