The Bluebirds ended an up and down season on a high with a 1-0 victory over Dulwich Hamlet securing their 15th win of the campaign.

It was a tremendous turn out for the final game of the season with over 3,300 fans attending with many Chippenham fans sad to see Dulwitch get relegated.

Those three points saw the Wiltshire side rack up 60+ points in the National League South for the first time in their history.

Manager Gary Horgan sent his "commiserations to Dulwich Hamlet" as they were relegated on goal difference but was happy to see his side end the season on a victory.

Horgan summed up the season as a “good season with a young team not just in age but maturity.”

“It took a bit of time for the players to gel but you can see as the season went on the ideas, we tried to impose got much better.”

“Massive thank you to everyone for their contributions this season, all the players and staff have played a huge part in what we achieved this year.” Said Gary

The most memorable moment of the season was the FA Cup upset which saw them knock out League One side Lincoln to reach the second round of the FA Cup for the first time ever.

Horgan summed up this achievement as the “Proudest moment of my life”

The Bluebirds also went on a remarkable 15-game unbeaten run securing seven wins within that time whilst also taking a point off the eventual champions Ebbsfleet United.

Former West Bromwich Albion player Owen Windsor who signed for Chippenham in February thanked the fans for their support across the season.

“An unbelievable second half of the season after a great run of games, I’m happy to have contributed to the team some goals and assists," said Windsor.

On Saturday the 29th the club hosted their end-of-the-season awards evening with Caine Bradbury winning the supporters player of the season.

Manager Horgan’s player of the Season was won by former Swansea and Rotherham United winger Alex Bray, with Joe Parker collecting the top scorer award with 7 goals.

The Bluebirds will be looking to start off the 23/24 campaign just as they ended this season.
