SATURDAY’S draw against Banbury was a game we dominated, but our final ball wasn’t there and we just didn’t have the luck.

We created some excellent chances, but on the day it wasn’t to be.

That’s something we have been taking a look at in training, working on our finishing and how to be more clinical because those are the sort of games we really have to pick up maximum points in.

Make no mistake, the match against Poole in the FA Trophy is going to be a really tough one and we’re going to have to be at our best to get anything from our trip there.

I know the manager Tom Killick down there and I played with the likes of Steve Richardson at Basingstoke.

They’ve been on a good run recently and even though they came unstuck 6-1 at Salisbury in the FA Cup last weekend, I’ve been told that it wasn’t as bad as that.

They are the top scorers in their league – one below ours – and there is no way we will be taking them lightly or for granted.

Injuries are still causing us a few problems and it’s been something that has been happening all season.

Scott Lye has been ill this week and Aaron Wilson and Dave Gilroy have picked up knocks so we will have to see how things shape up on Saturday.

Mani Randhawa also strained a hamstring last week and Ashley Williams is struggling but we’ll just have to go with what we’ve got.

Things have been very disjointed for us because of the injuries, but you are never going to hear me complaining about them because no one will have any sympathy for you.

The lads will be well prepared as usual and we really want to get back to the sort of form we were showing up until a couple of weeks ago.
