Swindon Town turned in a limp performance to lose heavily on the road 4-0 against AFC Wimbledon in League Two.

Omar Bugiel opened the scoring inside ten minutes before Armani Little scored from range and Ali Al-Hamadi bagged a brace in the second half to send Town back to Wiltshire having been well beaten.

So, how did the players get on as individuals at the Cherry Red Records Stadium?

GK: Murphy Mahoney – 5

Swindon were harried with the ball afternoon, but Mahoney was not rattled by this. I don’t think you can lay the blame at his door for any of the goals, although he did get fortunate with some other chances that did not quite find the back of the net.

RCB: Udoka Godwin-Malife – 4

It felt like Wimbledon had a good plan for Godwin-Malife. He was not afforded the space he often is and he looked rather flustered by this. The hosts often found space in behind him in what was a very tough afternoon for the defence. Omar Bugiel also got a lot of joy against him in the air.

CB: Harrison Minturn – 5

Minturn was unfortunate to be the player who was sacrificed after half an hour. He was in no way playing poorly and actually stood up well in the physical duel. He was struggling to cope with Al-Hamadi off the ball, but often recovered well to find him again.

LCB: Frazer Blake-Tracy – 6

Blake-Tracy is one of two players I would say played well in this game. After looking like a walking red card in the first 20 minutes, he regained him composure and defended valiantly. Here is hoping his hamstring is fine.

RWB: Remeao Hutton – 5

Who would have thought Hutton would have to play centre-back this season? His defensive performance was fine and he very nearly created a goal that could have turned the game early in the second half. However, Town struggled in attack all afternoon and that was almost all of his offensive contribution.

CDM: Saidou Khan – 4

I remember very little of what Khan offered in this game. After a few performances in a row of looking dominant in midfield, he went missing and allowed Jake Reeves and Armani Little to overrun him.

CDM: Liam Kinsella – 4

Kinsella was much the same as Khan as he never really asserted himself on the match. Despite having a numerical advantage, the Swindon midfield looked like they were running through mud all afternoon.

CM: George McEachran – 4

Much like the other two, there was a lack of responsibility being taken in the middle of the park. It might be unfair, but I remember McEachran being close by for the free-kick that lef to Little’s goal that killed the game and he was very slow to react.

LWB: Williams Kokolo – 6

Kokolo slots alongside Blake-Tracy as one of the two good performers. He used his pace to good affect at the back and kept getting forward. Most of Swindon’s danger came through him without exposing them at the other end.

CF: Dan Kemp – 4

I am tempted to give Kemp lower due to his own high standards, but he just about scrapes a four. He felt rushed in his play all afternoon and although he was better after the break, this was not close to the game-dominating Kemp we have seen all season.

ST: Jake Young – 4

Young was feeding off scraps all afternoon and was asked to do a lot of stuff he is not so good at. Hold-up play is not his forte and that made the start of the game particularly tough sledding.

Subs:

Charlie Austin – 6

Austin came on and once again made a decent impact. He was more of a physical presence than those who started and it certainly helped to a certain extent. He made a nuisance of himself in the box, but ultimately not enough to truly test the ‘keeper.

Tyrese Shade – 5

Shade had a few nice touches when he came on and struck up a decent-looking connection with Kokolo. But ultimately it came to very little and did not change the way the game had already gone.

Brooklyn Genesini – N/A
